MOURN IN SILENCE

Rain drops fall on the pristine leaves,
In the forest among the fallen heaves.
The whoosh of the wind awakens the slumber,
Melodious birds along with rain's shudder.
The leaves grow and woods fragrance,
The painted flowers grow in abundance.

Spring fades as autumn dawns,
Green leaves transfigure into brown.
The sun sets in the wake of night,
Time beckons the leaves flight.
Then golden shoots fall into darkness,
The arid tree but only wonders.
Yearns to cry abhorring the stance,
But only mourns in silence.

AS THE FLAG UNFURLS, OUR TRICOLOUR

As the flag unfurls,our Tricolour,
Surmounting glory flutters in wonder.
The tears, the cries of countless women,
Martyrdom of innumerable men.
Priceless sacrifice of selfless millions,
Precious blood of courageous Indians.
Unbearable pain of tyrannical slavery,
The love for mother entangling bravery.
The vehemant thirst for independance,
Of great men for their mothers son's.
Arise,salute,honour and remember,
As the flag unfurls,our Tricolour.

JUST ANOTHER DAY

Another day to live,
With or without any will.
Another day to breathe,
Fresh air breeze.
Another day to smile,
Or cry for a while.
Another day to try,
Or wonder if I.

Another day to see,
Another day to feel,
Beautiful minds and faces,
Dew in morn green grasses,
Sound of the flowing rivers,
Life in coloured flowers.
And another birthday,
Just another day.

THE RIVER

The river runs along the slope
Calm and serene with all the hope
Flowing waters sound magical whispers
Reeds, algae and the lustrous wonders
Delirious birds serenade the trees
That sway gently in the cool breeze
Sunlight shines on the morning dew
As the rain falls, leaves grow anew

The river flees away from the slope
Runs on, dreams, brimmed with hope
What does it want, why does it bleed?
Would it get that in the lonely field?
Happiness eludes along the way
But bursts over in the final day
Embraces them all, they're everywhere
Those waves of love are only there

Lovers plight

Tears fall, shivering in the cold,
Eyes reddened and hair ruffled.
He looked at the sky, dark blue skies,
Mist all around hassled those eyes.
Wondered if the sun would appear,
Thoughts aplenty, mind clouded murkier.
Hurtful feelings scoffed at his resistance,
Scorned the paucity of haughty confidence.

His love was betrothed to somebody else,
Laughed at him, the unforgiving remorse.
Words betrayed but not the eyes clamour,
Could this moment burn away forever?
Was it his fault or was it hers?
Some feeble mind whispered neither's.
