ONLY YOUR HAPPINESS

Only your happiness, nothing more
Every joy and enchantment multiplied galore
For throughout life, forever adore
Your crimson lips, love as pure.

Every breath be fresh and warm and still
And forever showered the loving thrill
Sparkling life cherish your tender soul
Satisfied moments overwhelm your whole
May no trouble soar above the heart
Never engulf or spread and wrought
May your precious eyes be ever filled with love
And all loving grace, adorn your brow
Every dreams and wishes, care and pleasure
And all the happiness, nothing more.

ROSE AND THORNS

Oh! The allure of the wondrous Red Rose
For a tactless plebeian, an irresistible force
The marvelous petals in bright luscious colour
Insanely attractive with sweet perfumed odour
So delicate and slender the silky lustre
Softly serene as pure, divine treasure
Stars et al fade in their refulgence
Nothing compares the charming magnificence.

Oh! The thorns among the Red Rose
Plenty such spikes like fiendish foes
Inclined to hurt the eager hands
Tarnish the glamour of the scarlet glands
Melancholic eyes descend in hesitation
Wedged in love and teary obfuscation
In her svelte elegance the prickles disappear
Isn’t she beautiful, far more prettier?

JUST WISHES

Let all grace, all joy overwhelm you
Let ever burgeoning happiness embalm you
Let no sorrow, no pain distrain you
Let every moment, every second entertain you
Let all glory and honour emblazon you
Let erudition, let wisdom enthrone you
Let every lives, every thoughts cherish you
Let arrant satisfaction embellish you
Let goodwill and love enthrall you
Let every dream, every wish fulfill you
And let this languid rhyme cheer you
Just petty words remember you.

PAUL SCHOLES

Priceless as kid, even more, older
Glorious and magnificent, even more, forever.

Thoughtful and simple, impeccably pure
Imperturbably humble, genuinely sincere
Routine was enough, training and football
The family was paramount, their love the goal.

Not Flashbulbs or fame, not vanity or lust
Ever could bother, ever could corrupt
Graceful and brilliant, on the field and out
A legend, a genius, surpassing any doubt.

Always in memory, especially he glows
None like him, only my Paul Scholes.

TO STARS

As gracious gift from heaven, sparkling bright
Above us mortals, begging your light
Your majestic beauty enlivens every night
Paens of wonder, glorify your might
In the endless expanse with pure, twinkling eyes
The charm overflows, enchanting worthless lives.

Millions gawk at your celestial opulence
My heart beats, to touch your magnificence
Will the heat burn up in feverish vigour
Will the warmth enthrall in faint smoulder
I blindly believe, glowing in sheer presence
Nothing satisfies but your grand appearance
Too afar, shining, incessant while
In my mundane world, just a meaningless guile
Yet the soul longs to embrace, to kiss
At least in dreams, to live the illicit wish.

THE TEACHER

Cold rain drops, slowly fell
On my shoulders, something wasn’t well
After a cheerful tour, the minds were fresh
They didn’t care, this minor distress
As the drops hastened, we had to go
In the rain and our luggage too
“Run along quick”, the bus would come
Drenched we reached, there was no-one
The drops grew bigger and the anger
Moments passed, the bus was still nowhere

“Rickshaw” they called, the others went
Also the Teacher, the rain – constant
How can she leave? Just an innocuous question
Valid and obvious in that soaked confusion
Walls have ears, I smell rats everywhere
Worthless lives, bloody twisted traitors
Didn’t she jump and burn in rage
Calling names and blames, defying her age
Every word uttered, heartless and cruel
Wicked glances, curses, seemed unreal
All this in the crowded railway station
Hair untied, devil like, in childish frustration
Years have passed, many memories too
Not this one, never will do.

TRAFFIC

The road is long and quite narrow
Was already sweating, up and below
Had to run hard to catch the bus
Far and more in the mad rush
Crowded and packed every little inch
No space to move or soothe the twitch

Completely jammed, the road badly blocked
No way through, every exit shut
Hours pass but not the woes
The crowd only thickens the traffic grows
The end seems never, the journey forever
Can’t even move or take a breather
The road is long and quite narrow
Still profusely sweating, up and below.

NOT SPECIAL

In a mirage of sleepless dreams
Along darkness and still beams
In madness of life, of soliciting stroll
Crushed, thrashed, pushed inside the wall
Every path in this endless journey
Locked, slammed, burnt wretchedly.

As I ran along in ghostly travails
In a flash, without any mushy denials
Like lightning strikes in loud thunder
“You aren’t special, were never a wonder.”

NOT WRITTEN IN THE STARS

It’s not written in the stars
How can it shine?
Just soothe the healing scars
It’s not yet time.
Dont forget the delaying virtue,
Patience and its reward,
For something special anew,
In the right moment, off guard.
Every failure is a worthy gemstone,
To cherish till afar,
The battle isn’t lost, the war’s still on,
The finish is still in your power.

MOCKERY

Eager and sincere, I could only stumble
In madness, sadness and other troubles
Toiled hard for the pivotal struggle
Only pain remains, and unsolved puzzles
When it seemed the might gale had blown
When sorrows would be finally gone
The waves rise, like every grief’s friend
Knocking my anchor in its joyful blend
Every breeze ponders the vacuous mirth
About my purpose and worthless birth
Time runs away, but not woeful tears
Incessant they fall, brewing gigantic fears
Serious confusion and gallant derision
Life mocks me and others in unison.

TRAVELLING FOR THE SAKE OF EDUCATION

Travelling for the sake of education
Dying spirit in terrible situation
On Monday morning with awesome cheer
Such a nasty thing to encounter
Crowded like hell the railway station
Late train, compounding consternation
Boarding the train a daunting task
Twisted and turned to wear the salt mask
Impossible to stand in the taunting plight
Hard to compete, in this devils night
Getting down a painful worry
Reaching the door, a different story
On the platform with God’s mercy
Only tomorrow, the same journey.

THE PONY

Numerous lights blind the skies
in wondrous symphony
Thousands of men burn their hearts
in sweet insanity

Alone in a corner ready to go
the old and the dry Pony
So many he saw, so many blow
sadness and the melee

Crackers are burst and the champagne
for the passing of the Pony
They look upon high, a new one
inebriated, joyful, supposedly

Seconds pass and the Pony
and only a pathetic eulogy.
